  I liked Hairbrains but have since stopped going. It's a charming place, but I found them to be overpriced, and they really push the Redken products on you, which are not affordable for most people. When I asked for some drugstore recommendations, I got scoffed at, which was somewhat understandable considering a hair stylist's perspective, but also annoying considering Redken is probably a spurlge for most people. I liked my stylist until she made a red dye job turn my hair pink, and I'm not blonde. There was another time when I scheduled an appointment over the phone, but when I arrived, it seemed they forgot to write it down, so I had to come back another time. They were apologetic, and I took it in stride, but I still found it unprofessional.
